Winter 2017: Recent activities

Following the November 2017 elections, CEEP updated its Database of Indiana School Referenda (DISR). Created in 2008, DISR allows Indiana stakeholders to explore Indiana school referenda outcomes, requested tax increases, and vote shares by interacting with the data visualizations in three tabs: All Indiana School Referenda Outcomes; General Fund Referenda; and, Construction Referenda.

CEEP director John Hitchcock acted as Co-Facilitator of a Mixed Methods Research Data Analysis Workshop for the University of West Indies, Mona held in Kingston, Jamaica in November 2017.

In December 2017, Dr. Mariella Arredondo, associate director of the Equity Project, was invited by UCLA’s William Institute to join a workgroup on LGBTQ Youth of Color in State Systems: Crafting an Intersectional Research Agenda to Promote Opportunities and Wellbeing. The project is committed to connecting LGBT and/or people of color senior and junior scholars conducting research in the areas of child welfare and juvenile justice with an education as an intersecting system.
