Evaluation of the SOS Coalition
Client: Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County Term: August 2000–August 2003
The Marion County Department of Public Health contracted the Center to conduct an evaluation of the Stamp Out Syphilis Coalition in Indianapolis. A number of community-based organizations were brought together in 1999 to address the recent syphilis epidemic in the county. Funding was provided in 2002 by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for an evaluation of the coalition. The Center assisted with design of the evaluation plan, including identifying key questions to guide the evaluation and designed the data collection methodology. The Center consulted on the development of the data collection tools, analyzed the collected data, and prepared the evaluation reports presented to the CDC.
