Surveys and Findings in the Study of Community (Charter) Schools in Ohio
Client: Ohio Legislative Office of Education Oversight (LOEO) Term: February 2001–May 2001
The Center conducted a survey project as part of Ohio LOEO's larger, five-year study of community (charter) schools in the state. The purpose of this project was to identify differences and similarities in perceptions of students, teachers, and parents in community and similar traditional schools in Ohio. The general findings were also reviewed in the broader context of studies conducted in other states and on a national level. Recent charter school studies that included a component of examining student, teacher, and parent satisfaction were sampled to provide a tentative backdrop to the findings of the Ohio surveys.
