Needs Assessment of Literacy Services in Noble County, Indiana

CEEP is developing a needs assessment that identifies the level of literacy services appropriate for the particular context of Noble County, Indiana. It will also identify barriers to establishing and maintaining the level and types of literacy services that will be identified. Finally, the study will identify the form of literacy services best matched to different locations in the county.

We are conducting focus groups and personal interviews to collect data from a sample of literacy service providers, parents, teachers, and students in three geographic locations of the county. Residents are asked questions regarding their perceptions of literacy services offered, additional services needed, and challenges to the recruitment and retention of literacy program participants and program expansion.
