Evaluation of Kentucky 21st Century Community Learning Centers' Program
Client: Kentucky Department of Education Term: April 2004–June 2004
CEEP's evaluation worked to understand how 21st Century Community Learning Centers' programs are implemented and structured. The evaluation determined the following:
- Ways to meet effectiveness
- An ongoing assessment of the programs' progress towards pre-established goals and objectives
- The extent that the program improves students' in-school performance and behaviors
This evaluation included phase one of a three-year project. In the future, CEEP will use Web-based surveys of program directors to record ongoing data of core programs, program implementation, and program outcome. Finally, this evaluation will include a comparison of the centers funded in years one and two, which will include the analysis of demographics, academic performance, non-cognitive trends, and progress toward sustaining the centers.
