Comprehensive School Reform Demonstration (CSRD) Program: Effect on Teachers and Teaching
Client: Michigan North Central Regional Educational Laboratory (NCREL) Term: October 2001–May 2003
This study provided teachers from 20 funded and 20 comparison schools the opportunity to assess their own classroom practices. It also provided study teams in their schools with a research-based report that continues to help these schools in the reform process. The objectives of this project included: - Assess changes in professional development and other school-wide processes resulting from participation in CSRD
- Assess changes in classroom practices
- Assess the impact of those changes on school and classroom outcomes in CSRD schools compared to schools with similar demographic characteristics that do not receive CSRD funding
