 CEEP uses General Fund expenditure data for Fiscal Years 2011-2015 from the Indiana Department of Education to show how spending differs between school corporations over time. How much school corporations spend on instruction is thought to influence how well students perform on state assessments. The tool allows users to see statewide trends, spending patterns in individual school corporations, and see how school corporation spending adjusts to changes in revenue, as approximated by total spending. 
 
 
 

Notes. The visualization presented on this website is based on publicly available information obtained by the Center for Evaluation & Education Policy (CEEP) from the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE). Data used in the visualization is from the “General Fund Summary of Expenditures by Program and per Pupil Costs” report. The data were current as of January 2016. School corporation data on ISTEP/ECA were from the Indiana Department of Education’s School and Corporation Data Reports.

Any errors or omissions in the data are the sole responsibility of the developers and should not be attributed to the Center for Evaluation & Education Policy or the Indiana Department of Education.
