Last summer, led by the Center for International Education Development and Research (CIEDR), CEEP joined a partnership to help Kosovo's University of Prishtina enhance its faculty's scientific research activities. CEEP Director John Hitchcock returned to Kosovo in late February and met with university leaders, led a workshop on research designs, and provided individual faculty consultations.
Anne-Maree Ruddy, CEEP director of education policy and senior research associate, and CEEP research affiliate Katherine Cierniak, presented “Academic strategic alliances: The promise of collaborative internationalization” at the 2017 Annual Conference of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) in Atlanta, Georgia, March 5–9, 2017.
At the Mixed Methods International Research Association Regional Conference in the Caribbean, Dr. Hitchcock served as a plenary speaker and also presented a pre-conference workshop, "Mixed Methods Research and Culturally-Sensitive Program Evaluation." The conference was hosted by The University of the West Indies in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
On April 6, 2017, Russell Skiba, director of The Equity Project housed at CEEP, was a featured speaker addressing suspension and expulsion practices and policies at the Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy LEAD Conference.
