Program Basics

The Kentucky Department of Education awarded the first round of grants to local KY 21st CCLC programs in early 2004, and the most recent awards were made in fall 2004. Kentucky has held three competitive 21st Century Community Learning Center grant competitions and competitively awarded $12,821,318 to 91 programs and 138 centers. KDE information consists of the 21st CCLC Application Packet and the request for Proposal Guidance (see Appendices). These two documents outline the responsibilities of local programs in the development for a proposal. Local staff can use these documents to assist in the development of their after school programs.

This timeline, prepared by KDE, lists important dates for required reports as well as those for conferences, trainings, and other events.

The Continuation Progress Report is to be completed for 4th and 5th year funding.
