General Definitions   |   Activity Definitions

A
  • Activities: Events or undertakings at the center that involve one or more program participants.

  • Adult Attendee: Any individual attending the program at any point during the reporting year who is 19 years or older and is NOT in elementary, middle, or high school.

  • Attendee: Any student attending the program at any point during the 2004 summer and/or 2004-2005 school year reporting period.

  • Center: The physical location where 21st CCLC program activities and services are provided. Many grantees have more than one center.

  • Community Partnership: Any form of alliance, cooperation, or collaboration between the community and the after school program.

  • Feeder School: Any school attended by one or more 21st CCLC participant during the regular school day.

  • Frequent Attendee: Any student attending a program for 61 days or more during the summer and/or school year reporting period.

  • Host School: School where the after-school center is located.

  • LEP (Limited English Proficiency) Students: National-origin/language minority students who have limited English language skills which affect their ability to participate effectively in education programs and achieve high academic standards.
O
  • Objectives: Stated goals or intended outcomes that your program is trying to accomplish. Objectives may have been developed for the grant proposal, although they can be revised as necessary.
P
  • Partner: Any party who collaborates with the after-school program. This category includes collaborators, co-applicants, and subcontractors.

  • Program: The project laid out in one 21st CCLC grant proposal. A program may have one or several centers.

  • Regular Attendee: Any student attending the program 30 or more days during the summer and/or school year reporting period.

  • Reporting Period: The reporting period for your Annual Performance Report includes the summer prior to the school year and the school year itself.
S
  • Student Attendee: Any elementary, middle, or high school student attending the program at any point during the reporting year.
 
  • 21st CCLC: 21st Century Community Learning Center.
