Executive Associate Director & Director of Evaluation and Research




Dr. Muller has secured more than $14 million in funding for more than 60 contracts and grants during her tenure at CEEP; and has served as principal investigator, co-principal investigator and/or project director for many of these projects. Her experiences conceptualizing and directing evaluation research have encompassed diverse content areas within education, including engaging in research related to the evaluation of educational equity and access (e.g., evaluations of education interventions and programs that target traditionally disadvantaged student populations and/or schools; examining racial-ethnic and gender differences in program impact), educational practice (e.g., research and evaluation of the impact and effectiveness of numerous educational interventions and programs, particularly initiatives related to reading/literacy, out-of-school time programs, teacher/principal effectiveness and science, technology, engineering and mathematics), and educational outcomes (e.g., student-level outcomes including student achievement, attitudes and behaviors; teacher-level outcomes including knowledge, skills and behaviors; and school-level educational outcomes).

Across diverse contexts and content areas, Dr. Muller’s focus has been on increasing the rigor and quality of evaluation methodology, including conducting numerous randomized controlled trial studies; and ensuring the relevance and utilization of evaluation findings to the field of education. She holds a B.S. in applied social sciences degrees from the State University of New York at Binghamton and from Indiana University, a M.S. in college student personnel administration, and a Ph.D. in higher education.
